Airbnb Review: Taipei, Taiwan

Back in Manila, we were very sure of using Agoda to look for accommodations for our Taipei, Taiwan Trip. But when we tried to explore Airbnb it turned out it has cheaper price but def better condos than the budget hotels.

My Steps to a succesful airbnb booking:

1. Searching for good condos/apartment
I filtered the place so what appears in the listing is along Soho Area, That's somewhere Fuxing and Dunhua. The prices are also posted per day. So I saved the good ones and those that are available in our traveling date. It's a good place to stay since the shopping area is there :)

2. Message your choices of host
I messaged several host and confirmed for availability and price. They will reply if it's available and how will be the total bill. And then there's like an invitation to accept or not. Don't worry since the invitation expires, so when you were not able to reply to them, it won't be a negative score to you.
You can also the haggle for the price when you message the host. You can try booking at my link here: https://www.airbnb.com/c/jlauchengco and get a $25 Credit upon registration :)

Our place was in Fuxing Dunhua, we we're in a building above Adidas Outlet

3. Book the Accommodations
I found a great place in soho area and booked it thru my credit card. Airbnb is secured, so no need to worry about your security. You will receive a copy of your itinerary and also a map is included. In our case the wifi password was also included.

We had good amenities: Fridge, AC and the fastest WIFI we've ever tried

4. Message your host, few days before your arrival
Message and get the mobile messaging of your host. They have vibe, whatsapp, or whatever you have so you don't need to SMS them directly and cost you a lot of bucks. I gave him my time and date of arrival.

5. Arrive and look for your place to stay
Since we got there late night (around 12midnight), our host asked for additional fee for the cab he had to take to give us the keys. He gave us the keys, discussed some policies and gave us the wifi password, showed how to use the AC and explained to us the nearest MRT stations,  showed the fridge, and the light switches.
It was a minimalist design, best for 2 people in vacation
6. Enjoy your stay at your Airbnb Place
The best thing about these apartments is they are just a few mins away from the trains and near Family Marts / 711s. Just a couple of steps away, you get to buy your drinks and midnight snacks

7. When it's time to go home
The host just ask you to leave the set of keys in the table (or somewhere in your home). Then you just ask up and go. That Easy! In our case our flight was late night, the host was generous enough to let us do the late check out as long as no one's gonna use the place.

And if you are curious to try Airbnb, You can use my link here: https://www.airbnb.com/c/jlauchengco to get a $25 credit upon registration, 25$ is a quarter discount of what you have to pay for a 3D/2N Stay! Not bad eh?
